Hey Lisa, I am the proud owner of a 1971 Combo Cruiser, "Lima Bean." I found her on Ebay in a Boat Angel auction. She had been parked behind a garage in Ft. Lauderdale for 25 years! Totally rotten on the inside but hull was in great shape. They are made of Royalex, which is very tough, flexible and lightweight, now used for kayaks. I have adapted a Subaru engine inboard and am still working on the interior. Will be pulling her out this fall for a paint job because I want to enjoy the rest of the summer on the water! Definitely a unique boat and draws a crowd wherever we go. I have not been able to find any info on the company Ship-a-Shore but did find a cool pic from Life magazine, which I will post. Let me know how yours is coming!
