Pontoon modules can be used in several different ways. Wilson
Distribution's 24"-diameter pontoon modules can be used for many
applications and are the only ones on the market that can withstand
saltwater.
The owner of a pontoon boat can attach a center module to make
a tri-toon. This is beneficial because boaters tend to load their
boats with passengers and gear, as well as larger engines, causing
the boat to sit lower in the stern. The major benefit of adding
a center pontoon is that the boat will plane quicker and provide
better performance and fuel efficiency. Wilson's modules are also
excellent replacements for old steel or aluminum pontoons that
leak from rust or corrosion. These polyethylene pontoons are rust-resistant
and are excellent for saltwater.
The company's 24"-diameter pontoon modules are available in 8'
lengths for bows, middles and sterns, and 12' lengths for middles
and sterns only. Each module features a rectangular collar with
molded 3/8" stainless steel inserts for attachment. A distinctive,
hinged locking system connects the individual modules, eliminating
any vertical or lateral movement. Wilson Distribution also offers
36"- and 30"-diameter pontoon modules.
Pricing of Wilson's 24"-diameter polyethylene pontoons start
at $475 for an 8' module.
