SPIKE SECURES CRAFT TO SHORE AND SANDBARS PDF Print E-mail

Boaters often have a hard time securing beached boats and mooring off sandbars and rocky shorelines.  Thanks to Slide Anchor's Shore Spike, any size craft can easily tie up in that perfect spot.

This innovative on/offshore spike works great in hard pack or soft sand, in shallow water or even off rocky and shale shorelines.  Boaters simply drive the tubular handle downward to send the spike blade into the shore.  A mooring line can then be tied to the heavy-duty lower ring.  The spike removes just as easily, by effortlessly driving the handle upwards.

With rocky or shale conditions, the spike should be driven a few feet offshore where the ground is softer.  The open tubular handle won't trap air, water or debris.  A second durable ring at the top of the handle is for a line and buoy to safely mark the submerged spikes location.

Specially-designed for the harsh marine environment, it is hot dip galvanized to prevent corrosion.  Available in three sizes, the extra-large Shore Spike from Slide Anchor covers boats over 30'.  At 18 lbs. and 48" long, it retails for $89.95.  For craft up to 30', the 10 lb., 39" large model costs $69.95.  An 8 lb., 31-1/2" small spike manages PWC and boats up to 22' and is $59.95.  Each comes with a storage bag.
