Building the Sandi Lee Houseboat

Sandi and Lee Freeman of sunny Florida, are chronicling their building of the Sandi Lee. The Sandi Lee is a pontoon houseboat 48ft long by 14ft wide. They started the project in June of 1999. Their website documents their progress.

The Sandi Lee will look like a Mississippi River Boat. Level one will be the house part complete with a queen bed and one and a half baths. The second level will have a pilot house for the captain and an open covered area complete with barbecue.

They cover all the phases of building the houseboat from their first cut, to assembling the hull, through building the cabin. They are still enjoying the build of their houseboat. Take a look at some of the pictures below, and visit their website for more detailed information:
