Canada’s largest houseboat manufacturer - Twin Anchors Marine (1977) Ltd. has expanded their manufacturing horizons with the acquisition of Holiday Mansion Coastal Cruisers. Company President and CEO Greg Kyllo was pleased to announce that "the acquisition of Holiday Mansion will broaden our market
spectrum by providing us with a complete line of saltwater friendly boats that will directly address the cruising houseboat market." Founded in Salina Kansas in 1965 by Jack Byquist, Holiday Mansion quickly became an industry leader in the design and production of Cruising Houseboats, incorporating the spacious accommodation of houseboats in performance fiberglass hulls capable of speeds to 30 knots. These cruising houseboats have proven themselves to be extremely salt-water friendly and in addition to extensive distribution throughout the United States can be found around the globe in numerous ports in Germany, Sweden, England, Asia, the Middle East, Australia and throughout the Carribean and Mediteranean. In 1992, Holiday Mansion earned the distinction of being chosen to supply the Timekeeping and Pace Boats for the 1992 Olympics in Spain. In keeping with the worldwide distribution of Holiday Mansion, the newly formed company will operate as Holiday Mansion International Inc. Holiday Mansion International Inc. will be led by company President - Mr. Nigel Lamb who will focus his energies on sales, marketing and worldwide distribution. Mr. Lamb brings over 40 years of marine related experience to the new company covering most aspects of the industry. Since 1957 he has held President and General Manager positions in a full service marine dealership, rental operation, marina, distributorship, manufacturer’s representative firm and a marine consulting company. Holiday Mansion International Inc. plans to produce eight models ranging in length from 37’ to 49’. The 37’, 38’ and 41’ models will feature a 12’ beam, while the 39’, 42’, 45’, 46’ and 49’ will feature 14’ beams. Both the popular classic and coastal styles will be available. Initial production commenced in the Salina, Kansas facility with the first 49’ coastal completed in August 2000. Nigel Lamb announced "we are impressed with the high level of quality incorporated throughout the entire manufacturing process, and will strive to further refine the quality of future Holiday Mansion boats with the development and implementation of the International Quality Assurance Program - ISO9002." (Parent company - Twin Anchors Marine, in 1998 became the first houseboat manufacturer in the world to obtain registration ISO9002!). All Holiday Mansion boats are built to meet or exceed US Coast Guard requirements, in accordance with recommended practices of the American Boat and Yacht Council (ABYC) and are certified by the National Marine Manfucturers’ Association (NMMA). Internationally distributed boats will be certified for export to the Common European Market (CE).
