HEARING AIDS 3 Months ago Karma: 3
Wife got me to go to Miracle Ear for a hearing test. They informed me that I couldn't hear. (no surprise). They were happy to inform me that they would fix my problems (both ears) for $2700 + my insurance of $1300 + tax. After thanking them profusely for the opportunity I said no and got the hell out of there.

Got on the old HP and did some googling and ebaying and found out I can get a pair of quality aids starting at about $400 and real good ones for $1200 a set. Spent about 3 hours investigating makes and models. Checked local audiologist and can get an audiogram for $35.

Ebay vendors claim that they will program the aids to my audiogram.

Anybody got any experence?

Sorry about the late response.
I have an Acuris Life over the ear made by Siemens.
It works well for me it leaves your ear canal open.

Ended up buying an Electone Tango 3P on Ebay for $250. The only adjustment I made was to the low frequency control. I have high frequency loss. Can here sounds I havent heard in years. Only thing is many of these sounds are annoying. Up side is I am able to better understand what people are saying.
