Am ripping up the carpet that the previous owners installed on all my decks (upper and lower), and strongly considering covering the decks with Sani-Tred.

Does anyone have any experience with Sani-Tred, and if so, how meticulous do I need to be about getting up every last speck of carpet cement?

And, for those of you who have taken carpet up, any advice on getting up the glue?

I'm prepared for some hard work, but would love to not do more than I have to, and I would also like to work smart.
