I have a 60 ft. Sumerset with twin inboard-outboards. The impeller in the port outdrive needs to be replaced. Do I have to have the boat pulled out to have this replaced?

Negative. Should be belt driven off the engine. It will be a small housing about the size of a power steering pump or maybe smaller. Also there should be a [i]STRAINER somewhere in the system. Make sure it is clean because a clogged strainer will disquise itself as a bad impeller.

If it is an Alpha 1 then then P/U pump is in the outdrive, and yes you will have to be pulled. early alpha 1's where also called R-models.

I would bet that on that size boat you would have a Bravo 2 out drive which would be belt driven and if you are at all handy, the pump impeller should be pretty easy to change out. If you are unsure, remove the pump and bring it to a marine shop in order to get the right parts and maybe the tech will change it for you. Stranger things have happened. Good luck.
