I'm one of the new guys at the slips. I'm currently negotiating on a 52' 1985 CYacht, and, after reading some of your posts, I'm thinking I may be buying a boat that you sold some years ago. I'll track down the info the next time I'm up at the lake, just for fun.
BrokerDave said you were the guy in the know about Carl Craft, so I was wondering if there's anything in particular I should be looking for, wary of, etc. with this boat?

Cyacht was a very good boat. Check deck, transom and engine stringers for rot. I do not think you will find much if under cover and maintained. Hope this helps. I sold most of the Carlcrafts on Old Hickory. Filled Anchor High up with Gibsons Nautalines and mostly Carlcrafts.pirate38983.8159606481

Thanks, Pirate! The present owner had the stringers replaced in the bilge and the deck section above the transom 4 years ago. I'll keep you posted on our progress - step one: find a bank that wants to take my money
