Hello Mr. Burns and especially Joe Plunkett - my husband and I own a 40' aft cabin named Tenacious - earlier it had another strange name - althought not our favorite name we retained it for the time being - we refer to her affectionately as 'Tena' - we purchased her in Fort Lauderdale in March 06 - hauled her, painted the bottom, fixed the 'damned' tenderlift as best we could (which again needs tremendous attention!!!) - she shipped in June from Miami to Malta on a Russian cargo ship, she arrived July 4th - we spent three weeks in Malta packing, unpacking and repacking - on July 31 we headed for Siracusa (we were nuts - travelling these distances in an unfamiliar yacht!!!) - the travel time from Malta to Siracusa was 10 hours - weather rough, probably force 4 - we bounced considerably - stayed in Sciliy for two days then headed across the Straits of Messina and along the boot of Italy - it took an unbelievable six days to finally get to Brindisi - rough seas almost every day - we travelled one night and were probably in force 6-7 winds and following seas (the one night passage we just were not sure whether we would make - but Tena performed fantastically) - on the 7th day we crossed the Adriatic - a mother dolphin and baby greeted and travelled with us for a couple of hours as we crossed what we imagined was the 'border' between Italy and Croatia - we spent the next 45 days 'cruising the Adriatic with Tena' - we had a ball and Tena was wonderful - we hauled her out in Punat (Krk) for the winter - we were asked about the weight just before haul out, we said 'the 1998 powerboat guide says 16,000 tons - we were 18,500 on the scale...Tena is waiting for us for summer 2007 - she needs another bottom paint and we popped a ton of blisters before we left her, so...Tena's captain, Milan and 1st mate, Coni

Dear Tena's crew,
Wow, what an adventure. Thanks so very much for sharing this story. Your Yacht might be the only Burns-Craft to sail these waters. I would to receive any good photos you might have.
Happy boating,
Jerry W. Burns
