we have a couple questions:
Was a 35' boat built?
Where to find info on how engine is coupled to the outdrive? Things
were going good on test run until smoke was noticed coming from that
area and slipping was detected upon advancing throttle. Boat sat unused
for couple years.

Dana system used automotive clutch operated by powersteering pump. This is one of the best systems ever built. Check clutch adjustment to make sure it has enough free play. Make sure clutch is disengaging during shifting (watch operation of clutch lever) Get a manual from Maryville Marine in marysville Michigan. call me if you need more info

Thanks, OHB. We did some bleeding and adjusting and that problem seems
to have gone away. Engine(318) ran pretty well at idle but crapped out
some under way. Pulled plugs, noticed water on several & saw a
rubber freeze plug in block. Compression good on all eight. Looks like
two replacement heat exchangers?
PO had installed two !00 watt bulbs in reflectors, one on each side of
engine compartment. Must not have been enough heat....

In this post you say 68 in the post below you say 69.
In 1968 they built a 38 with a plywood cabin covered in vynil. Most of these have gone to houseboat heaven.
In 1969 they built a 37 with all steel cabin. there are a few more of these around as it was a MUCH better boat.
