I've been asked to replace the hull on a 38' riverqueen. whether it is
worth it or not is between the boat owner and God. I was wondering
if anyone has done something like this before and how it went. The
hull has extensive rust and the owner was told that a new hull is the
only answer (from keel to outer chines and 8' from bow to aft
bulkhead). Any insights?

I personally haven't replaced my hull but it was done before I bought it. I'll ask the man who did the work and get back to you. I do know that mine was replaced from two inches above the water line al the way to the keel, infact a builge box was add and all my thoughhulls that are under the water were replaced with stainless steel.
