We are considering living aboard a houseboat in the southwest somewhere for retirement soon. We want to live where the weather is nice year around. Lake Mead sounds nice, but we are not sure if liveaboards are permitted there? Does anyone know of warm places in the SW where liveabaords are allowed? Thanks!

Welcome to houseboating world,
If my memory serves me corectly there was a post awhile back about lake mead, and the result was can't live aboard for more than 180 days a year. You need to call someone there to be positive. There are alot of beautiful places in the SW that does allow liveaboards but I dont remember where. Do a google search for house boat's and other key words and see if you cand find anything. Also this web site has alot of sponsors look at the diff. ones and see where they are.
