Where I live it has become an environmental issue regarding grey water (dish and shower water) it has always been returned back to the river. However there is some talk that it will not be allowed by 2008 so I would like to weigh up my options of what I can do while the boat is still in construction phase. Are there any treatment systems available for recycling grey water?

PS It is coming alone very nicely I put the roof on last weekend with the help of some mates. http://f1.pg.photos.yahoo.com/ph/vin_dowd/album?.dir=/9d5a&a mp;.src=ph&store=&prodid=&.done=http%3a//photos. yahoo.com/ph//my_photos

Such systems exist, but I'm not aware of any that are small enough to fit on a boat smaller than a cruise ship or freighter. If you are forced to hold gray water, I'm afraid your only option will be separate holding tank for it. However, I wouldn't install it until/unless you have to...here, there's always talk about holding gray water, but only one state has passed it, and then only for live-aboards. The only thing I'd do is make sure you have a hatch big enough to get a decent sized tank through and plumbing that's easily accessible to reroute (whch would also be a good idea for your sanitation plumbing too, to make future maintenance/repair easier)... and then cross that bridge if/when you ever have to.
