as i am learning more and more on the nautaline,i have read lots on the transom.it appers that they had a problem,how it the best way to tell if mine has some rotting.it does look to be very strong.when i bought the boat it was very dry in the hull.thanks so much.

ALSO THE STRINGERS. I USE A THIN BLADED POCKET KNIFE. YOU CAN ALSO USE AN ICEPICK, A LARGE DARNING NEEDLE OR A SMALL HAMMER.
TRANSOM ROT USUALLY STARTS AROUND EXHAUST OUTLETS AND OUT DRIVES (IF EQUIPPED) AND FROM WATER LAYING IN BOTTOM. CAN ALSO START FROM TOP DOWN IF DECK IS COMPROMISED.
STRINGER ROT STARTS FROM WATER LAYING IN BILGE.
CHECK STRINGERS UNDER ENGINES AND IN FRONT OF ENGINE COMPARTMENT BULKHEAD.
BULKHEAD IS ALMOST ALWAYS ROTTED ON BOTTOM
