Just wanted to say Hi to all the RQ owners on the forum. My wife and I Recently purchased a 1968 38' RQ. It is in bad shape and I'm just crazy enough to repair her. No name yet, we currently call her "Rusty" or the "Swiss". This boat was out of the water when purchased. And is now in a boat yard in Walnut Grove, CA. I am currently working on hull repairs. Question is it hull or hole? I guess with a RQ it is both. Some one has removed the two 318's and installed a single straight 6 with an older merc out drive. Don't know if it works, rumor is that the motor works outdrive dosen't. So far I've removed about 75lbs of rust from the bilge, and have found about 8 holes. Later this week, sand-blasting, welding, and coal-tar. I'll post some pictures, as soon as I figure out how. I've already met Mike Wolfe, What a nice guy and great source of RQ info. Well thats all for now.
