I have a 38' RiverQueen with a sick single 6 i/o. It has been suggested that I plug the hole in the transom and mount 1 or two outboards. Probably used johnson 70's. So what do you think? What's the god, bad, and ugly of this.

Don't know much about how it was done since we bought the boat this way.  However, our 38' Seagoing Marine houseboat (I think much like River Queen) was converted to outboards--two Johnson Ocean Pros 115s.  It seems to work great and now the steel hull boat is completely sealed below waterline. I'll try to attach a photo.  Not sure if I'm doing this correctly.

Thanks for posting the picture. It looks great. At that spacing are you able to use the motors for tight manuvering?
