hey guys,i have a 50ft burnscraft i'm redoing.have a 105 gal tank and a 85gal tank.my question is,if i leave the smaller tank out it really frees up alot of room below deck for acessing the generator,bilge and steering parts,so would you leave it out?is 105 gals enough fuel.Boat is a resale item and will most likely live on a lake.thanks for any input.

If you take trips of 60 miles or less between gas stops your ok. I hear you ao room gained. However: are tanks centered or on each side of the boat. 105 gallons of gas on one side will cause a slight list.

my tanks are in the center,so side weight not a issue.It also has the oringinal 6500 onan generator,any idea how hard they are on fuel?Notice new generators are useing 1.2 gph working hard.

We always figured a gallon per hour average on the 6500. Note these genneys seem to last forever if the oil is changed regularly. Brush condition should be checked every 2 or 3 years. Pay attention to the exhaust manifold condition.
