Were considering purchasing a 1985 HM coastal barracuda located on a medium sized lake in kansas. I've owned boats for 6-7 years, but they have always been smaller ski/runabouts. Does anyone have any info regarding this model/year of hm regarding general quality, idiosyncrasies, and/or problems? The boat is a single volvo v-8 with the volvo sterndrive. I'm a little leery of this combination as I am wondering about low speed handling with this configuration.

You are going to learn lots about low speed operation with a single Holiday. Only problem is wind which will make it very interesting at times.
