My wife and I are considering the purchase of a 50' 1970 river Queen houseboat.

We have never owned a boat before but have started a family and like the idea of summers spent together on the St. Croix river in Minnesota. We also like the classics, yet understand that they may be a lot more work.

Just wondering if there are any good resources for first time buyers or if there is anything else we should know before hand.

Any advice would be welcomed.
