My husabnd and I are considering renting a houseboat in the Keys spring of 07. We rented a houseboat in Kentucky at Lake Cumberland and it was wonderful. Has anyone rented in the keys? Any experience? Thanks in Advance!
Never rented a boat in the keys but a I've been down to Key West a couple of times. Best time of the year to go is January or February. The weather is perfect. Not too hot, not to cold (of course the locals think it's cold if it's below 70)
There are several companies down there, great place for houseboating. I like November and May, less crowded but near perfect weather. Dave38955.1731828704
I'M HERE YEAR ROUND. I LIKE IT IN THE SUMMER, NICE AND HOT. THERE ARE A FEW RENTAL PLACES, GOOD TIME IS AFTER HURRICANE SEASON. NOV-MAY IS GREAT. YOU'LL PAY TOP DOLLAR IN OUR SEASON DEC - MAR. IF YOU WANT TO GO DOCK HOPPING PLAN WELL IN ADVANCE BEACUSE DOCKS ARE HARD TO COME BY. IF YOU'RE ON THE HOOK YOU'LL BE FINE. I'M IN THE NORTH AND CRUISE TO KEY WEST ONCE A YEAR. YOU'LL LOVE IT.
