I'm new to this list, so I hope this is an appropriate topic! My wife and I would like to rent a small houseboat this July or August on Lake Barclay or Kentucky Lake (Kentucky, USA). We're experienced boaters and we'll take good care of your boat. All of the marinas/resorts we've found only have huge boats (50' plus). Since it is just the two of us, we'd like something smaller, more maneuverable and more economical. Does anyone have any suggestions regarding how we can find a boat to rent? Perhaps a private owner would like to rent their boat to us for a week? Thanks in advance. Jim.

My husband and I are trying to do the same thing. I have searched everywhere I can think of for a smaller houseboat to rent but have found nothing. Please let me know if you find something small to rent on Kentucky Lake or Lake Barkley.
