Took your advice and installed bypass unit. Was a piece of cake...Hooked up new suburban 6 gal. direct spark/ele hot water heater replacing 9 year old model and all wiring was same color coded on both units...Lucky break for me. Now Ready For Hot shower !! Thanks for the advice Graybear

I would go to a RV store (Camping World) and buy a bypass kit. This allows you to drain the water heater and bypass it so no antifreeze is needed in the tank.
