Aussie Globe hose had been distributed by SeaLand, manufacturers of the VacuFlush head, under the name "Odor-safe." A few years back, SeaLand was taken over by Dometic, an Italian company. The "Odor-Safe" hose now being sold by SeaLand is made in Italy - some connection there? Dunno, but at any rate, Aussie Globe tried to go it on their own here in the U.S., but weren't successful. It is no longer being offered for sale in the U.S. They still do offer their Uni-Seal product here in the U.S., which has been pretty successful.
The following was copied from one of Peggie Hall's postings on another Forum:
<< Almost all white hose IS flex PVC...the most common in the marine market is Shields #148. The only exception I know of is Trident 101...or maybe 102...they're both the same double walled rubber hose, just different colors...one of which is white.
Every other white hose is some type of flexible PVC...and has been for decades. But all flex PVC hose is NOT created equal. Some has a tighter molecular structure--and therefore is more odor resistant...some--especially hot tub hose--has a very loose molecular structure that'll permeate in a hearbeat. So will MPI, SeaLand OTHER THAN "Odorsafe," Shields or Trident #148 (though not as fast as some others).
Btw...this (from the website at the _link_ you provided) isn't true: "While white FlexPVC does have an NSF rating, it is not suitable for pottable (drinking) water applications."
Maybe theirs isn't, but Trident and Shields #148 flex PVC #148 is rated for both sanitation and potable water...and also for below waterline installation. Which only illustrates what I said above: all flex PVC is NOT created equal. >>

Vic, Thanks for the info. I have another minor problem, I got my holding tank the other day (Ronco) and they clearly say do not use pipe dope, tefelon tape or any other thread sealent on the fittings to their tank. I have done my share of plumbing and used pipe dope on every thing. Any advice on this from anyone would be welcome. The redhead

Aussie Globe is no longer selling their hose in the U.S. The next best is "Odor-Safe" from SeaLand/Dometic.
