IF... you are talking about living on your boat away from a commercial (pay rent) facility, then the answer pretty much depends on you. There ARE those noisey, clattering generators. Running one 24-7 just to have power is exspensive. In more ways than just the fuel to run them. There is 110/220v. solar power BUT...., careful research will show that nothing is free. Not even the sun. Cells, batteries, inverters, they all have a service life and need replacement. Propane refrigerators, while expensive, will rake care of food storage. 12 volt solar is less costly, less complicated, and will allow for limited use of some convieniences . Yes... you can live comfortably on a boat. Changes have to be made in exspectations is all.
