new hb owner Help!!!!!!! 1 Year, 4 Months ago Karma: 0

So I am a S/W/F and I just got a 34 foot 1969 Nauta line h/b. and I need help. I have a lot of work to do on the boat and would like to find an owners manuel for it. if anyone has one I would be willing to pay to have it copied.
I will be living on the boat with my three small show dogs. Why you ask? Why not! my boat is still in dry storage but this weekend it will be moved to Galveston Texas to get a new B/J and I will finish the inside work. I plan on getting it in the water by the end of October.
If you are the owner of a Nauta line give me a call and lets hook up so you can help me out with my new dream...
Thank

i have a 1973 nautaliner 36' and have all the orginal docks. the owners manual will not help you as it is vague and does not have a lot of detail. i have been through my boat from one end to the other and can answer most of
your questions on line.... let me know.

My gosh I don't know what I have gotten myself into. I am doing just about all the work myself on my boat and I am getting overwhelmed. lets see I have torn out all the carpet, sanded the cabintes, taken out the rf,so. and now I need to replace some rotting walls. what next, I am still looking for the lamp which holds the genie!. I hope to have the boat moved by next week, so I can have the guys at the yard do the bottom job and paint it. What next?
Nelson please provide me with you email, I would like to talk to you some more about the nauta line. Thanks

I just picked up a 1973 Nauta Line 34ft twin I/O for a song that was some transom rot and stringer rot walls and roof pretty good. Have you done any stringer R/R if so how did you go about it? I have some ideas on how to remove and replace it and use CPES from the Rot Doctor. I was surprised when I removed the floor and saw no ribs - just stringers. I'm hoping that the area under the one piece cuddy forward is not rotten. I think the main thing is to focus on the structure of the boat and get it right first before the cosmetic stuff. I was surprised that this boat has NO blistering.

Nautalines did not have a blister problem, they have a transom stringer rot problem. Any Nautaline that has had water standing in it for a long period of time has this. Outdrive boats have the most transom rot. No ribs on Gibsons or Nautalines or most other houseboats

Jacklayn, whats a b/j? I could use one of them myself dear lady. you sure got your hands full of work, did you survey that boat..a heap of work...keep on working..I would definitely donate that boat to whoever, perhaps a science project or goodwill industries, but again you might have to pay them to take it..

THERE ARE A LOT OF OLD BOATS OUT THERE THAT NEED MORE WORK THAN THEIR VALUE.
