Houseboat exchange 1 Year, 7 Months ago Karma: 0

I am looking for someone who would like to exchange houseboats for a week or two. I have a 12 X 40 foot boat that sleeps up to 8 comfortably. It was built in 1983 and the interior was totally refurbished in 1991. It is redone in honey oak. The engine is a Volvo 4 cylinder that was fully rebuild at the end of last season. The top deck is is like a living room and measures 10 X 30 with a full canopy that is 10 X 15. There is a full patio set on the deck with 8 chairs. The deck has a carpet runner that extends from aft to stern. Pictures are available.

The boat, "Mark Twain", is located on beautiful and secluded Lake Koocanusa which is the reservoir for the Libby Dam in Montana. We are on the Canadian side of the lake with 50 miles of lake and great sandy beaches and sheltered inlets that are accessable only by water. The fishing is fantastic with Kookanee - a land locked salmon - being the most plentiful. There is a great number of Osprey and Bald Eagles all over the lake and a few Golden Eagles.

I am looking at the last 2 weeks of June, the first 3 weeks of July, or the last 2 weeks of August.

I live in Fernie, British Columbia. It is a world class ski resort and rated as one of the top 5 coolest places in the world by Rolling Stones, Men's Journal, Ski Magazine, etc. If you are looking for a winter exchange, I have a beautiful 2000 sq. ft. home with 3 bedrooms, dining room, TV room, sitting room, 2 car garage, and an outdoor hot tub. There are beautiful views from each room and we are situated on a quiet street across from the river.

We are 10 minutes from the ski hill and can see it from the back deck. I would love to houseboat somewhere south for a week or 10 days while you occupied my house and skiied. We just received 40" of snow in the last 10 days. The best time is late January - late March for skiing here.

The Calgary International Airport is a short 3.5 hours northeast of here and the Kalispell Montana Airport is a quick 2 hours south.

Send me an email if you are interested.

Pat
