Just wondering if anyone knows anything about the Land and Sea trailerable houseboat? The boats were made in the 70's and are 28 feet with a 8 foot beam (salt water certified). We came across one that is pretty cool and we just want to know if anyone has any input about the brand...

Hi,
The Land and Sea is the big sister to the Seacamper (24 feet long). They are very similar in many aspects, looking nearly identical except for their four foot difference in length. The Seacamper was made throughout the '70s by Farenwald Industries and I believe the Land and Sea was made by a brother of either the designer or the builder of the Seacamper. For a wealth of info that would probably be just as useful to a Land and Sea owner, please visit the Seacamper group sight at:

This site is free and is open to all people with an interest in trailerable houseboats in general with an emphasis on the Seacamper in particular, but ownership of any boat is not a prerequisite for membership. There is at least one member that owns a Land and Sea and has it for sale up in the Washington State area (I believe his name is Jonothan Wollman). He may be able to answer any specific questions for you. Or you can email me directly for answers to specific questions.
Take Care,
Marty
