You didn't say what age the boat was. How is the boat's overall appearance. Does it look like it has been taken care of?? For sure you need to get a survey!! It is the best money you will spend. They cost about $7-$10 per foot of length plus a haul out so the surveyor can inspect the hull for blisters etc. Part of the survey is a valuation of the boat and can be used to negotiate your deal.

1993 is still a pretty new boat so the price isn't out of line. But I will caution you - a guy at my dock has a 1995 41 ft and just had $20,000 of work done to the hull it was so blistered they had to take off the gelcoat and first _layer_ of glass and re apply epoxy and cloth and re bottom paint. Get a survey - make it a condition of your purchase that the boat must pass survey and at the value you agree to purchase it for.
Good luck

Hi, the price is about rt, but I have a 41 ft 1996 Sport for $78500, that is loaded, you can see it at thepiratesplace.com.gibsonseatoo.htm I think you will really like this one. That is the price with anything found on survey done. Very little to find, boat is in great cond. Let me know what you think. I run Houseboat Magazines forums board. Have a great weekend. I tried to send you email but it would not work. I sent it to globugkidy2k
