hi I am planing some redesigns on the inside ot my 36ft RQ. I will
add images of the plans of that I want to do, and the Plans of how
the boat is set up now, I would like any advice you have to offer,

the chair in the old kitchen area will be a big recliner, and the tv will
be up against the wall that will be moved back about 3 or 4 feet. the
old closet will be removed and added counter space will be put in.
and the shower will be made larger, leaving me with about 1.5 to 2
feet for a little closet. the lectrasan will be placed in a lock box bolted
to the rear deck behind the head, unless i can find easy access room
somewhere else. small apartment _style_ w/d will be on the front deck,
I will enclose them in a large lock box aswell. the other _object_ on the
front deck is a grill. I don't like propain for a hulled boat, so i'm
taking the old propain oven out and using an avanti mini kitchen with
the two burner cook top.
here are the old plans

here are the new plans

Thank You

Jason where is the door into your boat? I am asuming in the front by the Desk? If this is your plan, speeking from experience you dont want to walk into your bedroom everytime you go into your boat or others for that mater. Here is another idea for ya split your kitchen in half, get your bed to the back of your boat do a L shape kitchen with a kitchen table on the opposite side of the kitchen on the wall and have the whole front for a living room. thats my idea for ya. I tryed to draw one for ya but I couldnt get it loaded.

I forgot to mention, the boat is 36 by 12, which means the inside is
about 26 by 8 or 8.5 so the way its set up now is three small areas.
also the lazyboy is huge, and the tv is a 32 inch, so its pretty big
aswell. yes the door is by the desk, is this what your talking about
design wise?

if so I thought about it, but making the counter top smaller would
make things harder, I'm trying to avoid moving any plumbing, I
thought about moving the shower to the original closet instead of
enlarging the shower thats there, ripping it out and trying to fit a full
size bed in there, but i'm iffy on moving the plumbing. as i'm not sure
i have the knowledge to do it, aswell this project will have to be done
by 2 people in a week and a half.

also I have designed a bed that folds into a bench, which uses a full
size mattress which is also an 8 or 9 inch thick innerspring that folds,
but that will have to wait till i can afford the lumber.

thank you
Jason Miller

Jason that is exactly what I was thinking, It has to be somthing you want in order for you to like it. take your time, do it right the way you really want it now instead of later you will be much happier.

Plumbing is very easy, pvc, pvc fittings, hack saw, pvc cleaner, pvc cement, and you are ready to do whatever you want. Just cut to size, clean the end apply a generouse amount of glue put your fitting on and wiggle the fitting back and forth a couple time and let it set. (just be sure you have the fitttings pointed the way you want) the glue sets very fast 3-4 wiggles and it will be set. PVC is the easiest plumbing out there and one of the most popular. after you are all hooked up turn on the water and look for leaks. if you have a leak turn of the water cut the fitting out and glue a new one in its that simple. but you prob. wont have leaks it is pretty much fool proof. Talk to the guys at the home dopot/ lowes or wherever if you have any questions. you will be supprised how easy it is, plus it will be a new accomplishment for ya. Like I said do it right and the way you want it now even if you have to wait another week or 2 you will be much happier.

hey another thought, rotate your bed 90deg. right. put the head of the bed against the starboard(right) wall extend your bedroom wall a lil more put the door at the end of port(left) side wall then you can run more counter space down the bedroom wall.towards the door.

Great idea for a bed/sofa it would look good in the living room plus have more room for guests/friends

If you need anymore help let me know looking good, good luck I love my boat. it has been great.
