I purchased a Pacemaker 35'. It is still shrink wrapped. Has anyone any experience with one of these on ICW? Will be bringing her to Gulf of Maine. I have sail boating experience but never motored a houseboat.

Would suggest youget a few days of experence with the boat prior to commencing on the trip. You really didn't give us enough information for us to give specific advice.

The Pace is similar to most of the houseboats of that era. Most were used in fresh water lakes and rivers. Is your boat fitted out for salt water, single or twins, vee drive or outdrive, condition.

Do you have experence in the area your going to travel in. How many years of boating have you got. Did you take any boating courses? Have you got charts for the trip and do you understand them?

Your taking a houseboat into, what are normally, cruiser/trawler areas. A houseboat is normally a protected water boat, are you aware of a houseboats limited seakeeping limitations?

What specific questions do you need answers for.

Twin 302's vdrive, drifter/cruiser, has lived in saltwater all her life, has more free board than most houseboats I've looked at, has been well kept, I used to sail out of RI, have charts and tide info, redundant gps, no radar yet, 2 months to make the trip, ie. weather hide and seek, just curious if anyone has used one of these

A guy did it in a pontoon houseboat with an outboard. So you acn do anything but that doesn't say it's a good idea. Be careful and good luck.

Make sure you have a few hours with the boat before you start out.
