Plastic vs. Aluminum Pontoons 1 Year, 6 Months ago Karma: 0
I've only ever seen aluminum pontoons on houseboats, but a couple of sites are advertising plastic ones. The sites claim the pontoons will not sink if punctured. This has some appeal to me. (Hence my nickname) Does anyone have any experience with these? Is this a gimmick/fad?

Thanks in advance.

Some have foam in them which will get waterlogged. Others have compartments. If you are not in the salt stick with aluminum
