We have the 53 ft drifter 1974 , i posted about the steering fluid leaking out of cracks in bezel on top deck. it says outboard steerer 8 on it, does anyone know how much fluid they hold? do you think too much fluid caused it to crack and come out those cracks? also, we need to lift just back end out of water to repair hole under the prop, someone suggested an inflable device, but didn't know weight of boat. we have no idea! 53 ft. 1974 drifter is all we know, thanks for any replys!

What kind of Hydraulic system is it Hynautic, Teleflex, Pretty much Teleflex has bought most everyone out - you can get help from their web site - they are very helpful. I got a copy of the Hynautic system installation and service guide from them via fax at no charge.

i was told teleflex system, the bezel says a word with backword letters, sy7(upside down L) en , that is the word, it also says outboard steerer 8. thanks!
