Electric Stove Burner Replacement 2 Years, 5 Months ago Karma: 0
One of the burners on my electric Princess stove was missing, one didn't get hot enough to boil water, and the third was warped. I ran down to the hardware store and bought three new 6" burners ($25 each). They do get warm, but not hot enough to boil even a small kettle of water.

Are these elements different than standard household elements, or is there a problem with my connections and/or wiring, or...?

Thanks,

Thumper (new member of the forum, 8 months living aboard)

You need 110 volt elements. Check out your local RV store.

What is the voltage rating of standard household elements?  Aren't they 110 volt?

Oh of course, household stoves run at 220 volts. I feel pretty stupid (and $75 poorer). I'll check out that local RV place.

Thanks.

AS Old Houseboater suggested, I visited the local RV parts place. They told me electric stoves are very rare in motorhomes, and didn;t even have a suggestion where I might find a 110 volt 6" burner element.

Anybody have any other suggestions?
