I have a 1972 Gibson Houseboat with twin Chrysler 318 engines. I need to replace the thermostats. The ones I pulled out were Vernatherm Valve #VD111464B. Any idea where these can be purchased or another suitable thermostat to use. I have gone to NAPA and Auto Zone stores but cannot find anything.

Try Boatfix.com they have got ve a lot of stuff. If you can't find it try posting a question at boatered.com in the engines forum. The guys there will help fast George answers within a few hours usually and if he has it he will _link_ you to the catalog page. It would probably help if you had serial #'s for engines .Good luck

Hey Guys, Old Smiling Jack Carter has a lot of Generator and engine parts over in Memphis, give him a call at 800-345-8379, he will try and get what you need and has a complete line of fuel filters for just about anything. Old Jack is a seafaring man and a very knowledgable sailor. Give him a try he will get you going. Jack, I believe the riser I have will work on your 440.
