looking at a 1989 aqua cruiser footer with fiberglass pontoons. the boat is listing heavely to one side. checked the weight distribution and all the weight is on the side not listing. is there a posibility that the pontoon has taken on water ? is there normall an access hole? short of pulling the boat how can i check it.

  I HAVE A 1998 44X14 AQUA CRUISERS, THIS BOAT IS MADE BY CATAMARANE CRUISERS OUT OF TENN. THE PONTOONS HAVE A SMALL HATCH NEAR THE TRANSOM, FOR ACCESS TO THE BOLTS THAT MOUNT THE MOTOR WELL TO THE PONTOONS. THE BOLTS NEED TO BE INSPECTED AND TIGHTENED FROM TIME TO TIME. THE CAULKING AROUND THESE BOLTS SHOULD BE CHECKED FOR LEAKS. MY ADVICE IS TO CALL CAT. CRUISERS AND ASK IF THERE IS A PROBLEM WITH THE OLDER AQUA CRUISERS HAVING LEAKS IN THEIR PONTOONS. THEIR NUMBER IS 1-8000-365-1255. THEY HAVE BEEN VERY HELPFULL WITH MY QUESTIONS AND NORMALLY GIVE GOOD ADVICE. LOTS OF LUCK. CATFISH
