also on the boat i just bought,should i pump out the old gas,os is there a good additive.boat has been docked about 3 years,winterized,but not started.i have it dry docked now for bottom job.thanks aboater now

PUMP IT OUT AND DISCARD IT. YOU ARE BOUND TO HAVE CRUD IN THE BOTTOM OF THE TANK THAT YOU CAN GET RID OF AT THE SAME TIME.

if the tanks are original - it is likely they will have pin holes show up once the boat is running again due to vibration. I wouldn't totally refill the tanks - just put enough in to run a little and watch like a hawk for any leaks or drips - you will smell it before you see it
