I am looking for a used or reconditioned marine generator 7 - 12.5kw. Any ideas where I can get one? This is for a 50' Boatel Islander houseboat with 2 Chrysler 318's. The boat has the wiring for it, but no generator.

Richard, Where are you located?
You can try Marysville Marine (marysvillemarine.com). Not sure they have reconditioned, but maybe they can direct you.
Also try craigslist.com and marineengine.com

I am located in Festus (St. Louis) MO. Boat in St. Charles, MO. What would be the smallest gen. set I should use? Would power 2 rooftop AC/heater units, refridgerator, lights, radios, etc. Thanks Gary Mincher

A GOOD 7 1/2 will power 2 air cons if you shut off the water heater but a 12 is the best choice for a 50 foot boat. Watch Ebay

I may have a couple come up this winter. If you do not get one soon I may have one.
