Greetings,

I'm not trying to step on toes here but Mike Wolfe and I are in the
process of registering all River Queens at www.mikewolfe.us just scroll
down the home page to the River Queen Registry _link_. Don't forget to
fill out the form and email your pictures to Mike for posting. Their
are about 25 boats listed so far including the owner information,
upgrades and history - including my own!

He is listing all RQ's by their hull number which is located on the
fire wall in the bilge. We would also be interested in any pictures or
stories of destroyed River Queens.

Thanks,

Scott

The 43 StarStream III that I formerly owned. Sank in 30 feet of water at the dock at Emerald Beach Marina in Florence Alabama in 1993.

Root cause was failure of the raw water pump impeller. This caused a 4" hole to be burned thru the exhaust hose that wasn't detected until it was too late. During salvage the fiberglass top was torn off and lost and the hull was damaged beyond repair. When I sold the boat in 1991 it was factory mint. It really hurt me because it went down because of a lack of preventive maintenance and inexperence on the part of the owner.

The engines and generator were salvaged and were still in use in 1999 whem I lost track of them. Those old Chryslers sure are tough.

Hello just completed my 1973 River Queen Houseboat after a 7 year journey, everything removed and replaced, just installed new 5.7L 350 Volvo engines with Gimbal drives. Tower Marine completed the installation work. We love it, home port Manistee, MI. however thinking of moving to SC - worried about the steel haul in salt water.

Love to share photos, very nice/fun,

Older, yes fresh water cooled engines,,, I know that the hull would need to be cleaned monthly, a 'disk(s)' needs to be place on hull for corrosion(rust?) other then that I am clue-less. I don't want to make such a move and ditroy the vessel for I think it is one of a kind.

Krisko's witts....
