How much weight can I hang off the aft? 4 Years, 5 Months ago Karma: 0

Greetings to all,

We are in the process of finishing up a years worth of work on our 43' - 72 RQ. As Mike Wolfe can attest we’ve had some fun and some challenges. My question is how much weight can I hang off the aft of the boat.

We need a play boat for the kids to tube and wakeboard with. I’d like to hang it or drive it up on a floating dock if possible. We’re interested in a 13’ footer either a Boston Whaler or Yamaha Jet boat.

These would run between 450 - 1000 lbs. If we use the plastic floating dock I think it would mostly effect the turning and handling, not to mention adding another 4 or 5 feet. Any thoughts or pictures that you can forward that would be just great!

Thanks

Scott
