Hi, I know this has been asked before, but I am having a hard time finding info specifically for this model year. I took a look at this boat yesterday and the guy wants 10,000 for it. She definately needs some tlc, but the one thing concerning me most is the floor in the galley. He sad he just hasn't gotten around to replacing the flooring, but after having read multiple posts, I am concerned that it doesn't just relate to the flooring, more the stringers? The boat is full inboard, which I understand is better than I/O in regards to transom rot. My question is, what do I need to look for before considering throwing any money at this thing. I plan on moving out of my apt and living aboard and would like to make sure I am not buying into a sinking ship. Any advice is greatly appreciated.

If the floor in the galley is raised up . RUN RUN RUN the boat is KAPUT.
You will find rot in the transom, stringers, decks, roof and canopy. Even if you do the work yourself you can not make out.
Boats in this condition are ready for disposal and this is expensive for a 44 foot boat.
If you are still considering this get a survey, even if it is only a $10,000 boat. do not even accept this boat as a gift because you will then be responsible for storage and disposal. You will not be able to get insurance without a good survey.

Wow, thanks for the responses.. I have returned to the boat in the past week and found alot more than I had expected. Rot by the engine area, galley, in the bow, decking, just about everything. Your responses have been very helpful and I have since declined the boat. Thank you for helping me avoid a costly disposal fee. Looks like I will take the advice and look at aluminum, or at least at something newer, within 10 to fifteen years or so. Thanks again....
