Speaking of history, does anyone know who (if anyone) has the Nautaline molds and who claims ownership of the name?
I understand that it was once owned or built by Glastron; I checked the Federal Trademark site and there seems to be no current ownership of the name.
Also, do Nautaline hulls generally compare to other similar houseboats? What I'm getting at is whether Gibson, Harbor Master, etc. have similiar bottoms? Are the keels typically about the same depth?
Thanks.

I am not aware that Glastron ever owner Nautaline. There were similar graphics in the early seventies, but to my knowledge Nauatline was a separate Company, this is also proven by the NADA listings. Nautline went out of business somewhere arounf 1978. Brunscraft later purchased the molds, and built a few (I currently own an Brunscraft built 1982 Nautaline 43'. When Harbor Master bought the Brunscraft molds they also got the Nautaline molds. Harbor Master built a few of 43's around 1990, but to my knowledge they've never done anything with the other molds. Harbor Master has yet to design any of their houseboats or Coastal, they are all re-works of other molds.
They stil have the molds to this day, but I doubt anyone has rights to the name....
