Need Nautaline Head Info 8 Months, 3 Weeks ago Karma: 0
I recently purchased a 78 Nautaline 43'and want to upgrade the head with a new toilet and purasan.

Does the freshwater line for the head come from a seacock, water tank or ? I turned off the pressurized water at the dock and was able to flush several times without loss of water.

Thanks!

The head has nothing to do with the MSD. If the head is working properly there is no need to change it unless you just want a new one. Some boats that were in salt mostly cruisers had the head hooked to freshwater tank due to the smell and corrosion. I have never seen a houseboat hooked up that way.

It most likely comes from a seacock (assuming that the head is original equipment on the boat); back in those days, heads that flushed with pressurized fresh water were just about unknown.
