Hello all;
I am webmaster for the "Cruise-a-Home Owners Page" sponsored by Houseboat Yacht Club.

We are located in the Pacific Northwest. This is a really great inland saltwater cruising ground, extending from the state of Washington into British Columbia, Canada. This body of water has names for the individual portions, but has never been given a name for the collective waters. There is a proposal now to give it the name "Salish Sea". It won't change any of the existing names, but will recognize this as a body of water common to the entire drainage basin and eco system.
My own cruising experiences extend slightly beyond into the the inside passages up to the top end of Vancouver Island, but this area was not included in the definition of the Salish Sea because technically it is not part of the drainage basin of the "inside" sea, as it drains out of and not into the area of interest. Too bad, because this is also a great cruising ground for small boaters.
Anyway, you may view my own cruising experiences at:

I have given several cruise seminars at the Seattle Boat Show and these can be viewed on the website as well as our cruising blogs and photos.
